Les Deux Alpes is a dynamic resort, popular for its sporty and festive atmosphere as well as its iconic glacier. It offers a wide range of shops, restaurants and a variety of entertainment and activities throughout the year. At the end of the winter season, experienced skiers can enjoy high-altitude skiing on the glacier until 31 May. In the summer, cycling enthusiasts will enjoy the picturesque roads and passes in the area, as well as the nearly 100km of trails in the resort's bike park. The resort also offers many summer activities that will delight all the members of your group, from swimming to tennis and golfing, and more!
About the property…
Chalet Foxly is a three-storey property for 12 guests, including eight adults. It has five bedrooms, each with its own shower room.
On the ground floor are the first two bedrooms, both of which have doors to the garden. The double bedroom has a desk and a shower room with a double sink. The other bedroom is a bunk room for four children, with a shower room and separate toilets.
On the first floor is the living room, which is surrounded on three sides by a wraparound terrace. It includes a cosy seating area with a sofa and chairs in front of the TV and woodburning stove. The fully equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar as well as a dining table, where you can enjoy dinner after returning from the slopes. There is a second table on the terrace, along with a hot tub, which has wonderful views over the village and mountains. A double bedroom with an en-suite shower on this floor has a television and direct access to the terrace.
The second floor is home to two more bedrooms, which have their own shower rooms and share a toilet. Each bedroom also has a TV and a desk.
On the practical side, Chalet Foxly has a ski storage room, a laundry room with washing machine and dryer, a garage for one car and two additional outdoor parking spaces.
About the area…
Chalet Foxly is located in a peaceful residential area, just 900 metres from the centre of Les Deux Alpes.
Les Deux Alpes, in the Écrins massif near Alpe d'Huez, is known for its sporty and festive atmosphere. Its shops, restaurants and entertainment attract families as well as mountain sports enthusiasts. Its high altitude and iconic glacier make it a popular destination.
In winter, its vast ski area has around 90 slopes over more than 400 hectares, making it one of the largest skiable glaciers in Europe, reaching an altitude of 3,600 metres. Skiers can enjoy long descents, renowned snowparks and pistes suitable for all levels. Snowshoeing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, sledging and ice caving are among the other activities available, and a swimming pool and ice rink can be found in the tow centre.
During the rest of the year, the Écrins mountains become a magnet for hikers. Mountain biking is also particularly popular here, with an internationally renowned bike park. The Romanche river is ideal for rafting and canyoning, while the water sports centre at Lac du Chambon, aerial activities and summer entertainment mean there’s no need to be bored. There is a nine-hole golf course and tennis courts just 2km away, both of which can be reached by the shuttle bus.

“Perfect”
Stayed at Chalet Foxly for a ski holiday and its location is great for getting the ski lift to the lower slopes, if snow allows. The bus stop is very near and takes you to the main ski lift and the bus also operates in the evening.
We were welcomed at the chalet by the concierge, who offered breakfast and cooked meal deliveries. When we had issues with the hot tub and hairdryers, they quickly resolved any problems.
We were a group of 8 and found the chalet a good size but may find the lounge area small for 12 people.

When I first came to Les Deux Alpes, I was three months old. Every year, I returned with my parents, my friends, and then my husband, who also fell under the spell of La Muzelle, which watches over us. We had come full circle...
Finally, my daughter came for the first time when she was three months old.
So we invested in our haven of peace: Le Foxly, a wonderful south-facing chalet with unbeatable views.
Perched between sky and peaks, the resort of Les Deux Alpes is a place where the mountains are at their most impressive. Here, the air seems purer, the light softer, and every breath of wind tells a story as old as its 3,400-metre glacier.
When you arrive, you feel as if time has slowed down and you are transported back to your childhood. Before you lie 220 kilometres of immaculate slopes bathed in sunshine that caresses the snow.
